SEVERE WEATHER POLICY

The policy of the Washington County Fair during severe weather conditions is to follow the direction of the Washington County Sheriff’s Department. There are limited safe shelters (bathrooms) on the grounds for the safety of citizens attending the fair and to react to changing conditions during severe weather. If we are advised severe weather is approaching and may hit the fairgrounds, the fair may be closed.

Fairgrounds Ownership

The Washington County Fairgrounds is owned and operated by the Washington County Agricultural Society (WCAS). The fairgrounds is NOT owned by the county, city or township. The WCAS is a nonprofit organization 501(c)(3) with the primary purpose to plan and hold the annual Washington County Fair.
